My 3 go-to essential oils:

Since I have been dubbed by my close friends as Aunt Jemima, due to my stash of essential oil's that I carry with me and share with others to help heal their problems, I thought it would be appropriate to write a post about the essential oils that I use the most in day to day life.  My top 3 go-to oils are: Four Thieves (or Germ-Fighter.  I have both), Oregano, and Peppermint.

Four Theives/Germ Fighter:  I originally bought oils from Eden's Garden and so have Four Thieves, but as it is running low, I bought some Germ-X from Plant Therapy, taking advantage of a coupon.  I love this oil blend!  I don't use it daily, as some people do, but I use it whenever I feel like I'm starting to come down with a cold or sickness, or when my family or the people I'm spending time around are sick.  I experienced first hand how awesome it is a few weeks ago, when I woke up one morning feeling like I was coming down with a nasty cold.  I took capsules of Thieves and Oregano oil throughout the next few days. The cold has now passed through my entire family, but I never got sick, aside from feeling like I was on the edge of getting sick.  It was a nasty cold, too.  I also took capsules of Thieves and Oregano during the week that Joe J., my friend and manager at my work, was sick with a stomach bug, because I am terrified of getting stomach bugs, so I wanted to ensure I didn't come down with that.

Oregano:  As I already mentioned above, I take Oregano and Thieves oil in capsules when sickness is around me.  Oregano is a great for the immune system and as a natural antibiotic.  It's a killer of bad bacteria.    It's definitely my go-to, along with thieves, to stay healthy!

Peppermint:  Peppermint oil has become one of my best friends!  I get headaches very frequently, if not daily, and peppermint makes the headaches bearable. It's probably my most used oil, simply because I use it almost every day for headaches, and I also share it at work when people have headaches or sore muscles.  It's great for headaches and muscle aches.  I also use it for my back, as I have scoliosis and get back pain a lot.  It is great to put over other oils, to help drive the first oil further into your body.  I have a small key chain case for essential oils and my peppermint oil is always in it, always with me, wherever I go.

I love all the essential oils that I have, but these three are definitely the ones I use the most!

Busy, busy birthday month!

Life has been so busy for me lately.  The workload at my job has been crazy the last few weeks or so, made crazier by the manager getting sick and having to miss work for a few days.  Despite the business, it has been a rather nice month.  My birthday was this month (I turned 22!) and I like to celebrate the entire month in honor of my birthday.  Mainly, I just use my birthday as an excuse to do lots of fun things during the month and spend more money than usual.  My sister-in-love was in town on my birthday, so we went to lunch together, Thai food, yum, yum! I went to Monterey with a small group of friends (two Joe's, Megan, and Rachel) on the 15th.  We went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, which was lots of fun and so very interesting.  A few of my friends had never been...so I deemed it an important trip to make.  We also discovered a mirror maze near the aquarium and spent a lot of time there, having lots fun and acting like crazed maniacs.  Visiting the beach was also a necessity on this trip, since we had time, so we did that, which was absolutely lovely.  The ocean is my one true love.  I seriously adore the ocean.  So much.  Dinner at Johnny Rockets was delicious and then we called it a day and traveled four hours back home.  (I accidentally ran a red light, which was terrifying, and also cut off a red corvette on accident and felt horrible.  However, we made it back home alive).  The following day was my family birthday celebration, with my grandparents which was also quite nice.  (I acquired an Uncle Si doll, which is definitely a win). The final celebration for my birthday month was last Friday.  I went to BJ's for dinner with some friends (Jon, Joe J., Rachel, and Toni) and afterwards we went to go see Divergent!  It was such a fun, blessed time!  I've read all three books in the Divergent series so was very excited about seeing the movie.  I was not disappointed.

In other news, I was accepted into William Jessup University and also was given a $7,000 scholarship, for my grades.  I am so very excited about attending school there this fall.  It shall be a great and grand adventure!

Finally, to end this rambling blog post, here are some pictures.

I got my ear pierced as part of Rachel's birthday present to me.  It's pretty snazzy.

This little girl brings so much joy to my life.  I love her so much.  I love my mornings with her when I'm getting ready for work and she joins me to help me with my makeup routine.  Coming home from work to her smiling face is always a wonderful thing.  We had a jolly time Wednesday night, playing while the rest of the kiddos were at AWANA.

And finally....Jackson and I being goofy.  Love that boy!  (that laugh, though...)
